This company is a joint venture (UK – China) which focuses on the development of grass roots soccer in China. They are seeking for several interns to complement their existing team.

1.  Internship - developing the Membership Scheme of the Soccer Organisation
Background:
The company believes that as a grass-roots sports organization it must engage and support the wider community in order to establish a solid foundation for the club's long-term development.  The companies Membership Scheme has been conceived with this in mind, with the 2006/07 Community Card at the heart of the initiative.

The card costs just RMB 100 and is offered to players and non-players alike, bringing discounts and benefits at scores of lifestyle destinations (bars, restaurants, spas, gyms, dentists etc.) and on premiums brands purchased through the club. In addition, members are also frequently invited to take part in special (social) events. Highlights in this area include participating in the launch ceremonies for the 2008 Beijing Olympic logo, slogan and mascots!

Finally, to meet the objective of supporting our community, the club has also linked the card with the MasterCard Charity Football Campaign (managed by the club) depositing RMB 50 from the sale of each card into a fund that will be shared this season by The Red Cross Society of China, UNICEF and Beijing Huiling.

Role & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work within a small team dedicated to developing the Membership Scheme. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience of several roles (marketing, sales, PR, BD) within a commercial organization and may be tailored to greater emphasize areas of particular interest to the candidate.

- Support of card marketing and promotional activities
- Support of public & media relations work relating to the scheme
- Development of card partner (offering discounts) network
- Development of card retail (selling card) network
- Research & liaison with card brochure advertisers
- Customer servicing of existing partners and retailers
- Updating the club website, Member Channel (depending on candidate)
- Support of other club events & activities from time to time


2. Internship - Junior Coaching

Background:
The Club's team of English FA-qualified coaching staff offer top-quality soccer coaching courses for children from ages 4 to 18 (and adults too!) at various venues in Beijing. Courses cater for students of all ability levels stressing skill development in a fun environment, as well as other benefits from exercise and teamwork, to sportsmanship and discipline.

At present the bulk of programmes are staged at ten international schools across Beijing with lessons taking place after school and at weekends during term time, and every day during holidays. In addition to the continued development of courses aimed at international students, the club is now seeking to establish courses targeting local (Chinese) children.

Besides the above-mentioned benefits, the club believes that providing a relaxed environment with a native English-language speaker will appeal to education-conscious Chinese parents. For adults, the club recently launched weekday evening sessions for women which were well attended by both international and local ladies and plans to offer similar services for men in 2007.

Role & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work within a small team dedicated to developing the club's Junior Coaching. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience of several roles (marketing, sales, PR, BD) within a commercial organization and may be tailored to greater emphasize areas of particular interest to the candidate.

- Support of course marketing and promotional activities
- Support of public & media relations work relating to courses
- Administration & customer service functions for ongoing courses
- Research & development of new course locations
- Research & liaison with junior coaching sponsors
- Updating the companies website, Player Channel (depending on candidate)
- Support of other club events & activities from time to time
