 Mark is an IT student from Germany whom we placed in a multinational
company in Shanghai. During his internship, he works in the enterprise
support department. He works in the same company as Maxi, so for
information on the city, atmosphere and workingday one can refer to

The main duties in the Enterprise Support department internship:
- Assisting support Engineers with trouble tickets
- Microsoft Mail Exchange Mail Server Administration
- Updating Spam Mail Filter
How is the level of mentoring by your superiors?
During my internship at the Enterprise Support department, I have a
group of superiors and as well the department director. Both are
always reachable and they always try to explain me the tasks of the
department. Regarding cultural aspect, I have the feeling that they
are careful and polite. Therefore, it is sometimes difficult to know
whether you did a good job or just soso.
Summary of my Enterprise Support internship experience:
I do as well have to say that I learned a lot as well. Since I have
stayed already for over three years in America and now here it is
quite interesting to learn more about a very different culture. To do
business later in live with or in China I think it a priceless
experience. Especially Shanghai it is such a fast past city to get to
know, with all the different people who migrated to Shanghai from all
over the country. As a foreign student it was really easy to meet new
people, since there are quite a few clubs and bars in Shanghai where
you can meet people from around the world. Just a last tip the alcohol
is not that inexpensive here, but at same time, you can save the money
on your meals.
