Until 1971, the UAE, as we know them know, did not exist. It was only until the six different emirates Abu Zaby, 'Ajman, Al Fujayrah, Ash Shariqah, Dubayy (Dubai), und Umm al Qaywayn joined forces and built a union in this year and were joined by Ra’s al Khaymah the next year, that the UAE came into existence.
